In our last post we discussed upgrading or retrofitting your older furnace or boiler. This time let’s talk about replacing your furnace. Of course, no one wants to have to replace a furnace, but no one wants to go through a cold fall and winter without a properly functioning furnace, either.
Not only do outdated furnaces typically have to work harder to warm your home, but they also burn up a lot more energy. A new furnace can be up to 98.5 percent efficient, which means you will save a lot of money over the life of the furnace. In fact, in some cases you might even cut your energy usage in half with a new high-efficiency furnace. When you choose a new furnace be sure to look for the ENERGY STAR label. If you live in a colder area then choosing the highest-efficiency model makes the most sense.
Of course, you can call us and set up a repair service to see if we can extend the life of your current unit, because we also offer expert furnace repair in Portland OR as well. But if you think your old furnace is ready to be retired, then click here to check out the new furnaces we offer, and then click here to contact us.
